These examples are taken from the UK North Sea Transition Authorities “Rockall Trough” dataset. The data is used by permission. The complete survey is available on request.

Example of Complex Volcanics

This data has, among other things, highly complex volcanic formations and inclusions. Amplitude visualization is a must.

Color has limited dynamic range

This example of twin volcanoes highlights the impossibility of representing extreme amplitude variations by color alone.

FIne scale amplitude details

Color masks a tremendous amount of amplitude details. Check out the "Horns" in the center of the display. Did you suspect the detail when looking at color?

Faults and Details Example

A problem with greyscale displays is that they obliterate amplitude information. StratiScape displays retain maximum detail while clearly showing amplitudes.

Dual Polarity Comparison

Our dual polarity display has shown itself to be exceptional at highlighting faults. Check out the clearly defined fault plane reflections.
